Sentieon

Sentieon builds ultra-fast, highly accurate secondary-analysis software: cost-effective, scalable and software-only.

Why source through Genique

More than a supplier. A local partner.

Local support

Field application and engineering teams across six cities in India, Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with defined response commitments.

Consumables continuity

Managed import, registration and cold-chain logistics keep reagents flowing without interruption.

Validated onboarding

In-house bioinformatics validate the platform into working pipelines, so it delivers results, not just readouts.

Flexible commercials

Payment flexibility, credit facilities for new accounts and co-investment in lab set-up.

The pipelines

DNAseq®, DNAscope, TNseq® and TNscope®: drop-in upgrades for GATK, Mutect2 and BWA-MEM.

Where it fits

Between sequencing and interpretation, supporting Illumina, MGI/BGI, PacBio, Ultima and Element data.

Why we offer it

Faster, deterministic analysis that scales with your data.

Where it sits in the Genique stack

Sentieon is a secondary-analysis layer, which means it replaces a step a lab already has rather than adding one. It sits between the sequencer and whatever the lab uses to interpret variants.

  • What it replaces: GATK, Mutect2 and BWA-MEM, as drop-in equivalents, so an existing pipeline does not have to be rewritten around it.
  • What feeds it: data from AVITI™, and from Illumina, MGI, BGI, PacBio and Ultima instruments, so it is not conditional on which sequencer a lab already owns.
  • What it feeds: Genomize SEQ or Genique bioinformatics for interpretation and reporting.
  • Where Genique adds to it: deployment. Sentieon is software only, and most labs asking about it are asking who will install, licence, benchmark and support it.

How Genique supports it in India

A bioinformatics platform, so what a laboratory is planning for is a licence and an analysis budget rather than a delivery and an installation.

  • Licensing: completed in under a week. There is no instrument to ship, so there is no installation window to plan around.
  • Service: handled remotely, by the field application and engineering team in India.
  • Training: for as many people as the laboratory needs trained rather than a fixed number of seats. Two to three hours.
  • Analysis tokens: consumed per run and available immediately, so throughput is never waiting on a delivery.

Regulatory status in India

Sentieon supplies secondary analysis software, labelled by the manufacturer for research use.

  • Labelling: Research Use Only. That holds even where a product carries CE-IVD, CE-IVDR or FDA marking in another jurisdiction, because an approval granted elsewhere does not travel to India.
  • CDSCO: nothing on this page is approved or licensed by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation as an in-vitro diagnostic device.
  • What accreditation does and does not cover: accreditation of a laboratory evidences the quality system and the method validation under which work is performed. It does not change the regulatory status of an assay.
  • What this means for a NABL laboratory: the pipeline is part of the method the laboratory validates, and concordance against a reference set is what that validation rests on.
