What the panel covers

GeneticNutri is one panel of 52 traits across eight categories, read from 116 genes. It is a single view of how you handle food rather than a set of separate tests.

  • Food Preferences, 14 traits across 28 genes: bitter and sweet response, sugar craving, snacking, over-eating, carbohydrate, meat, fruit and raw-vegetable preference, and how well a Mediterranean pattern is likely to suit you.
  • Vitamin Profile, 11 traits across 20 genes: vitamins A, B2, B6, B9, B12, C, D, E and K, folic acid, and response to pre- and probiotics.
  • Food Sensitivity, 8 traits across 19 genes: lactose, gluten, caffeine, salt, trans fats, bitter taste, insulin and cortisol sensitivity.
  • Mineral Profile, 7 traits across 18 genes: calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, selenium, sodium and zinc.
  • Fat Profile, 5 traits across 13 genes: total, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat handling, plasma omega-3 and omega-6 profile, and low-fat diet effectiveness.
  • Metabolic Rate Profile, 5 traits across 14 genes: alcohol flush, caffeine consumption, and choline, lipid and vitamin A metabolism.
  • Antioxidant Profile and Protein Profile, one trait each: antioxidant defence capacity, and dietary protein requirement and response.

How a trait is scored

Every trait returns a polygenic score rather than a yes or no, because nutrition traits are the combined effect of many small variants rather than one switch.

  • The score: a 0 to 100 weighted summary of the trait-associated variants detected.
  • The zone: Low for a below-average tendency, Average for typical, Elevated for above-average and worth monitoring, High for notably high and worth acting on early.
  • The evidence: the genes analysed, the marker in standard notation, and how many markers were detected for that trait in your sample.
  • The action: one plain-language sentence on what the tendency means, and one concrete food-first step, so a dietitian has a structured place to begin.
  • The framing: a higher zone is an inherited tendency, not a diagnosis, and most of these tendencies are modifiable.
