Genetic Counselling

Certified genetic counsellors review results and explain what they mean, in plain language. It is the final step of our sample-to-insight process.

What we do

Every report is reviewed by a certified counsellor before release, with support for both patients and clinicians.

How we engage

Counselling is built into our reporting, and available as a standalone service.

What you get

Results that are clear, accurate and framed around choices, not verdicts.

Where counselling sits

Counselling is the last step of the sample-to-insight process, not an optional extra bolted on afterwards. Sample collection, sequencing and analysis, variant curation and report generation come first; every report is then read by a certified genetic counsellor before it is delivered.

What a report has to answer

A result is not an answer. Each trait in a report is built in four layers, so the person reading it can see not just what was found but what to do about it.

  • Risk score: a polygenic risk score summarising estimated predisposition for that trait.
  • Trait implication: what the score means for the trait in question, in plain language.
  • Descriptive reporting: the context, background and supporting detail behind the result.
  • Clinical suggestion: actionable, counsellor-reviewed guidance and next steps.
