A 24-week live programme

The Molecular Classroom

Molecular diagnostics and precision oncology, taught live over 48 evening sessions. From PCR fundamentals to a reportable variant.

Genique Lifesciences presents the programme in collaboration with Haematology Solutions. It runs on its own site, where you can read the full curriculum and register your interest.

Who it is for

Built for five kinds of learners.

The programme starts from a shared foundation and builds to clinical interpretation, so each group has a clear place to start.

Residents

Evening sessions that fit around clinical duty, with a pre-test and post-test for every module.

Practising pathologists

NGS workflows, AMP and ACMG variant classification, comprehensive genomic profiling, HRD and MRD.

Clinicians

Two clinical applications modules on how molecular results change treatment decisions.

BSc and MSc students

A foundations month to level-set, analysis on real sequencing datasets, and a capstone project.

Lab professionals

Extraction and QC, choosing between qPCR, dPCR and NGS, and a month on NABL, CAP and ISO 15189.

Curriculum

Six modules, one a month.

Every module has a pre-test, a post-test and a case discussion. The programme closes with a capstone project, a final written assessment and a practical and viva.

Month 01

Foundations

The molecular biology and PCR groundwork the rest of the programme builds on.

Month 02

Core techniques

Choosing and running the right assay, from Sanger to methylation.

Month 03

Next-generation sequencing

From library preparation to a classified, reportable variant.

Month 04

Clinical applications I: oncology

Hereditary, haematological and solid tumour testing in practice.

Month 05

Clinical applications II

Pharmacogenomics and HLA typing for transplant.

Month 06

Lab quality, regulatory and capstone

Running an accredited lab, then bringing the programme together.
